NMIMS students help underprivileged children

Students are given Rs.300 each, which they had to multiply within seven hours

Money Mantra – the flagship event of the NMIMS Hyderabad showcased how students can play constructive role in society even as they learn management lessons during their stay in the college.

The event, one of the major platforms through which Nischay, the Student Social Responsibility committee of NMIMS tries to help out the underprivileged section of society.

As a part of the event, the students were provided with a miniscule amount of Rs. 300 each and they had to multiply it within seven hours.

The fund raised is used to help destitute people.

This year NMIMS Hyderabad is supporting the education of two children by donating the collected fund to Spoorti Foundation.

The college not only donates the money, but also works closely with it to ensure that the children get proper care and education.

Social entrepreneurship

“The event encourages social entrepreneurship and makes an attempt at making the students socially sensitive and responsible. The college has been successfully conducting this event for the past three years,” Surprit Rekhi, one of the students involved in it. Apart from supporting tje children’s education, Nischay is planning to make significant contribution in other areas of social life this academic year.
