Migrant children, families enriched by fun, academic activities; creates bonds


“About 70 youngsters, along with many family members, enjoyed the sunny outing behind host school Cardinal Valley Elementary.

“These children need to be afforded the same type of education that children in the general population get. Because they move so frequently, there are a lot of extra supports they need,” he said. “We’re trying to create opportunities, and we try to make it interesting and do things tied to academics but that engage learning differently.”
