Karnataka HC asks state govt to make better use of CSR funds


BENGALURU : The Karnataka high court has asked the state government to make out all efforts to bring back before the commencement of next academic year the remaining 17,000 odd children who are still out of school .

A division bench headed by Chief Justice D H Waghela also asked the state government to have special focus on those taluks/districts in the backward region of the state where the number of such children varies from 700 to 1000 plus.

The bench also gave an example of Chitapur in Kalaburugi district which had still an estimated 1225 children remaining outside the school, as per government’s own records.
