Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), renamed as the Newly Merged Districts (NMDs) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is a tribal region of Pakistan on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border that remained under decades of isolation, terrorism, and human rights violations.
